Some of our favourite places to stay in the Masai Mara

The Masai Mara is one of the most popular and beautiful places in Kenya. With over 1,000 square miles and an estimated 850-900 lions, it's not surprising that so many people want to visit this region. Here are some of our favourite places to stay when you're on safari in the Masai Mara:

Entumoto Camp

Entumoto Camp offers a unique and luxurious experience in its very own conservancy adjacent to the Masai Mara.

An exquisite new lodge that feels like it’s been there forever. The decor is sensational, the staff are charming and the food is simply superb! Entumoto means ‘meeting place’ in Maa – it is located in the meeting point of three valleys (with a natural spring), where like-minded people come on safari to meet each other as well as visit local villages where they can explore culture, history and wildlife within their own community.

Enkewa Camp

Enkewa Camp is a small, exclusive and luxurious tented camp in the heart of the least explored area of the Masai Mara. It's based on an eco-sustainable concept with a knowledgeable, experienced and professional team formed by local Masai.

It is the perfect place for couples, families or friends who want a unique and intimate experience in an authentic African safari camp. The Camp has been designed to ensure that minimal impact is made on the environment while providing guests with creature comforts. Each tent is beautifully decorated with bedside tables & lamps, wooden furniture on platforms with running water shower facilities.

The Camp offers its guests the chance to enjoy close encounters with Africa’s most beautiful animals such as Elephants, Zebras and Wildebeest during their migration.

Naboisho Camp

Naboisho Camp is based in a private conservancy adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, where you can enjoy an amazing safari experience. There are nine spacious tents at Naboisho Camp, each offering different views of the surrounding wildlife and scenery. Because it is based in a private conservancy adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve, Naboisho is one of our favourite camps for your safari in this area because there's no doubt that you'll get fantastic guiding and activities here.

There are some wonderful activities on offer at Naboisho Camp, including guided walks through the surrounding bush, cultural visits with local Maasai tribespeople and game drives in open 4x4s or on foot.

Conclusion

We hope you found some of our picks helpful when planning your safari. If you want to learn more about these incredible camps, check out our itineraries and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
